Time marches on

Today has been a warm humid and mostly overcast.  It was Junior Day for deer hunting here in Virginia and Michael got his first deer.  It seems appropriate timing as this morning Edna was boxing up all the children’s books and puzzles to donate to BSH School, as all grandchildren have outgrown them.

Elizabeth is home from the hospital and sore, but in good spirits.  Spent some time cutting and splitting fire wood, and then filling the hoop on the front porch.  Hope we don’t have to use for another month or more.  Needed to move a dead tree that was covered in poison ivy, which has fallen across the trail we use to take horses to our back pasture.  Covered myself in Ivy block, put on long sleeves and gloves and off to attach a rope to the tree and pulled it out of the way.  Removal from the area will wait for another day.
